The design for Arthaland’s maiden project in Arca South was faced with many challenges including limited FAR, height, setbacks, and a sloping terrain. To address these challenges, we opted to pursue a two tower scheme, optimizing the efficiency of floor plates. In so doing, experiential opportunities emerged at ground level, from where the public would engage these two towers. Thus was born the concept of a canyon, carved out as a 10m clearing between the towers. The towers set back in three
planes, mimicking the natural contours of a canyon. The public, who will now be traversing this canyon, will symbolize the rivers that give life to the project. Public interaction will transpire along this space throughout the day, and night.
